Kate Waterfield is a composer and singer playing viola, violin and concertina. She performs regularly at folk clubs and festivals as a solo performer and was previously part of folk trio The Kittiwakes. She released her solo album Closer to Home in 2012 focusing her writing closer to heart and home. Expect songs of tragedy and injustice, love and hope—and the odd talking bird thrown in for good measure! Kate is no stranger to performing live, captivating audiences with the stories she weaves and gorgeous strings-based tunes.
